About Me
I’ve always wanted to help others. Being a first generation Latinx I saw that mental health and wellness was something that was not talked about or explored in my community. I attended University of California San Diego, and graduated with B.Sc. in Psychology with a specialization in Neuroscience and Behavior.
I worked for a number of years in an adolescence substance use lab before attending University of San Diego to obtain my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since graduating I’ve worked as a bilingual English/Spanish therapist in private practices, non profits, and school settings.
Who I am as a therapist
I believe in promoting well-being for all by helping clients with their mental health, family dynamics, behavior modification, and being an ear to listen about what it means to be a teen in today’s world. I use evidence based modalities to help my clients in this growth.
Why I love what I do
I feel that it is important to offer support to all and to help break down barriers and stigmatization in mental health wellness. It is honestly a privilege to be part of someone’s team to help them live their best possible life. I truly feel honored to be part of each of my clients’ journeys and how to best support them.
